As a Data Operations Engineer, you will be working with our SaaS provider, you will serve as the primary liaison between our organisation and the SaaS platform vendor, GoldenSource, ensuring the effective management and utilisation of securities master data within our operations. Your role will involve optimising the configuration, integration, and utilisation of the SaaS platform to meet our specific data needs and business objectives.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide daily, ongoing support for GoldenSource and manage day-to-day operations.
- Collaboration with the GoldenSource, SaaS provider technical team to configure the platform according to our securities master data requirements.
- Incident & change management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Troubleshoot and track tickets for bugs/service requests, Escalations etc.
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs & and cost tracking: SaaS, data sources.
- Analysis and customisation, where appropriate, of data mappings, transformations and business rules to align with BH data models and workflows.
- Liaison with the internal data strategy team manage data vendor relations and implement data validation checks and quality controls within the SaaS platform to ensure the accuracy and completeness of securities master data.
- Expansion of business scope/data requirements for all lines of business, downstream internal system integrations and reporting.
- Monitor data ingestion processes and troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies to maintain data integrity and work with the SaaS provider to address data quality issues and optimise data cleansing and enrichment processes.
- Provide training and support to internal users on navigating and utilising the SaaS platform for securities master data management.
- Act as a point of contact for user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating resolution with the SaaS provider's support team.
- Create documentation and training materials to assist users in maximising the value of the SaaS platform.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements within the SaaS platform.
- Establish access controls, permissions, and audit trails to safeguard sensitive data maintain compliance standards and conduct periodic reviews and audits of data processes to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimisation and innovation using the SaaS platform.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to securities data management and SaaS solutions.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in working as a Data Operations Engineer.
- 3+ years of prior experience in working on Data Analysis, Data Gathering & Ingestion, Data Cleansing & Preparation, Data Searching & Querying, Data Mapping, Data Migration, Architecture & Design (Cloud) and ITIL processes.
- 1+ years of experience in working with AWS is desirable.
- 1+ years of experience in working with Kafka is desirable.
- Prior working experience in the Securities Master platform is desirable.
- Prior working experience in financial services Architecture, platforms and data flows (Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Risk, Treasury) and in FS industry organisations is desirable.
- Prior working experience on cloud and on-prem technology is desirable.
